stage 1 - initial visit and consultation

after contacting us we arrange an initial visit to meet you, see the space, show our portfolio, discuss budget and formulate a design brief.
the design brief is based on  your ideas and requirements, and my initial design concept .
it  has two functions. firstly a discussion document and then a design guideline.
based on this agreed brief we are able to estimate for the first stage of design work.       

stage 2 - design work

the site survey

before any design work can start an accurate survey of the  area is needed to produce a working drawing. this will show the house, boundaries, existing features, levels, soil ph, aspect, prevailing winds etc.   

initial ideas

a very helpful early meeting to discuss initial design concept, plants, materials etc.

the masterplan

a clear to scale colour drawing of the over all garden design. 

perspective drawing

 a 3d impression of what you will see.

mood board

images of plants and features along with material and colour  samples.

detailed planting plan (if required)

construction drawings (if required)

stage 3 - the presentation  

the combination  of masterplan, moodboard, perspective drawing(s) and outline costing's  allows us to present the garden design to you in a clear way.
we talk through all aspects of the design, both aesthetic and practical and discuss how to take the project into the next stage.

outline costing's

a  cost break down of the garden with a total figure at the end. this enables you to see exactly where your money goes and provides an opportunity to have the garden built in phases.

stage 4 - garden build and project management

our construction teams comprise of experienced gardeners, builders and craftsmen. every design is implemented with care and thought using  high quality materials and  the very best working methods. every project is overseen by the designer from start to finish.

nb: if you decide to use your own construction team to build your garden we offer a project management service to oversee the project.

stage 5 - planting

our plants are of the highest quality, hand sourced from specialist nurseries, selected to thrive  in their environment. planting  creates the garden,  breathing  life and colour into the design.

stage 6 - maintenance

we offer a garden management service to suit the clients needs. this can range from a weekly visit, to a written maintenance programme for the client or their gardener to follow
